US–Israel Attacks on Iran LIVE Updates: Iran Launches Missiles at Israel, Gulf States After Khamenei Killing; Trump Warns of Unprecedented Retaliation
Iran fired missiles at multiple targets in Israel and Gulf Arab states on Sunday, escalating tensions after vowing massive retaliation for the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in coordinated US and Israeli strikes.
The attack marks a significant escalation in the Middle East conflict, raising fears of a broader regional war involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
US President Donald Trump responded with a stern warning to Tehran, cautioning against further military escalation. In a statement posted online, Trump threatened that the United States would retaliate “with a force that has never been seen before” if Iran intensifies its attacks.
“Iran just stated that they are going to hit very hard today, harder than they have ever hit before,” Trump wrote. “They better not do that, because if they do, we will hit them with a force that has never been seen before.”
Meanwhile, Iran’s Security Chief Ali Larijani, head of the Supreme National Security Council, warned against attempts to divide the country following Khamenei’s death.
“Groups seeking to divide Iran should know that we will not tolerate it,” Larijani said during an interview broadcast on state television, urging national unity amid the crisis.
The situation continues to develop as global leaders monitor the rapidly escalating confrontation between Iran, Israel, and the United States.
