PM Narendra Modi’s Israel Visit Highlights Strengthening India-Israel Ties, Says Israeli Envoy

As Narendra Modi prepares for his stand-alone visit to Israel on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, aimed at strengthening India-Israel bilateral relations, the trip comes amid complex geopolitical challenges in West Asia. Key discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are expected to focus on defence and security cooperation, labour and trade partnerships, artificial intelligence and advanced technology collaboration, as well as connectivity under the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) project.

Beyond formal agreements, Modi’s Israel visit is set to carry strong strategic symbolism, signaling deeper India-Israel ties and sending an important diplomatic message to the broader West Asian region and global partners.

India and Israel share a strong and dynamic Strategic Partnership that has expanded significantly in recent years across multiple sectors. I look forward to my discussions with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to further deepen India-Israel cooperation in key areas such as science and technology, innovation, agriculture, water management, defence and security, trade and investment, and robust people-to-people ties. We will also exchange perspectives on important regional and global developments of mutual interest.

During my visit, I will meet with President Isaac Herzog to reinforce high-level diplomatic engagement between our two nations. I will also have the distinct honour of becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament — a landmark moment reflecting the deep parliamentary cooperation and shared democratic values between India and Israel.

I also look forward to engaging with the vibrant Indian diaspora in Israel, whose contributions continue to strengthen the special friendship between our countries.

I am confident that this State Visit will further solidify India-Israel relations, set ambitious new goals for our Strategic Partnership, and advance our shared vision of a resilient, innovative, and prosperous future.
