Trump Claims Iran War Will End Soon Amid Middle East Crisis; Tehran Says It Will Determine the War’s End

Middle East Crisis: Trump Says US ‘Ahead of Timeline’ in Iran War as Israel Launches Fresh Strikes

President Donald Trump said the ongoing Iran conflict could end soon, claiming the United States is already “far ahead” of its initial military timeline in the war.

Speaking from Florida, Trump declared that the US has “already won” the war against Iran, though he suggested the operation is not yet fully complete.

“We’re knocking them out. We know where they all are, and we’re taking them out very quickly. We are far ahead of our initial timeline,” Trump said while giving an update on the conflict.

Earlier on Monday, while addressing House Republicans, Trump also warned that Iran had plans to launch attacks across the Middle East, including against Israel. He claimed that without intervention, Israel could have been wiped out.

The remarks came as Israel launched a new wave of large-scale airstrikes against Iranian targets, intensifying fighting across the region.

Meanwhile, NATO air defenses intercepted an Iranian ballistic missile that entered the alliance’s airspace, according to Turkey’s Defence Ministry. Air defense systems in the eastern Mediterranean were activated after the missile reportedly crossed into Turkish airspace.

Turkey said it would take all necessary measures to protect its territory and respond to any threats. Iran, however, previously denied launching a missile toward Turkey.

In a major political development, Iran has elected Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei as its new leader, more than a week after his father was reportedly killed in an airstrike.
